So no one told you life was gonna be this… jk, jk! I wont be that cheesy all the time. But the story rings true! I mean do we ever really feel like we’ve got this under control? A solid example of what an adult should be? Remember the days when you couldn’t wait to be a grown up? When you thought you would have a house, kids, and limitless career by the time you were 25 (insert eye roll to younger self)?? Other 20 something’s out there must be feeling the same way (please say yes lol). Hell even 30, 40, 50, no judgement here! I know there are so many days where I personally do not feel like I am old enough to be 28. But here we are, 28 and trying!
I went from such a busy, yet care-free schedule. I had my family and friends nearby, I enjoyed my restaurant job, I had a wonderful balance of work and social life! I was an adulting champion! Then, four years ago, with the inspiration of my parents (A pilot and flight attendant), I became a flight attendant! Don’t get me wrong, I love my job, it has granted me so many freedoms and opened up the world to me, but it can be so incredibly lonely and discombobulating.
As most flight attendants will tell you, when I started flying my social engagements went down… my stress (and weight) went up. THIS WILL NOT DO! I had to find control and stress relief! I was forced to get organized in my relationships, my foods, and really find myself in this new lifestyle. I started cooking, exercising, making better habits, finding hobbies and really made my routine work for me with such a hectic schedule.
Flight attendants are always asking me about my lunch box (its giant). “Ohh!” “Ahh!” “Whats in side?!” and “How do you make this life work with food prepping?!” And people are always commenting on my craft projects. Which is what brought me here! I have so many food packing tips and tricks, recipes for home, fitness insights, travel tips, craft ideas, and also just need a safe place to vent life frustrations because lets be honest, we are all just fumbling along! I hope you enjoy reading my blogs as much as I enjoy creating them, and please feel free to send me an email or comment 🙂
